Buy a music bingo or make your own? An honest comparison

You can buy a ready-made music bingo online for ten to fifteen euro, or build one yourself from your own playlist. Both work. Which is better depends on how often you play and how much the music should mean to your crowd.

We build an app for making your own, so we are not neutral. That is exactly why we also say honestly below when buying is the better choice.

Music bingo for company parties, weddings, clubs, pubs and care homes

When buying is the better choice

If you are playing once, do not fancy choosing and do not mind that the songs come from somebody else, just buy a pack. You get a PDF with cards and a list and you are done in five minutes. For a one-off gathering that is perfectly sensible.

When building your own pays off

If you play more often, buying means paying again every time. More importantly: building your own lets you pick music that fits your crowd. The songs from your wedding, the hits your colleagues grew up with or the repertoire of a group of care home residents appear in no standard pack.

Where the difference shows in practice

With a bought pack you arrange playback yourself, with a playlist and a phone beside it, and you verify a bingo by checking 25 squares manually. In our app the Bingo Master plays the recognisable part automatically and you verify a bingo by typing in a card code. That mostly saves hassle at the busiest moment.

How to make this music bingo yourself

01

Paste your playlist

A link from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music or Deezer, or type your own list of songs. The app collects the titles and removes duplicates.

02

Choose playing time and win pattern

The app works out how many songs you need and picks the card size.

03

Print the unique bingo cards

Two cards per A4 with cut lines, with a matching emoji above every title, plus a checklist for the host.

04

Play the hits

The Bingo Master plays the recognizable part of every song and verifies each bingo through the card code.
